Medior Project Manager

Antwerp, Belgium

If most of this fits you, but not everything, apply anyway. We hire for what really matters. Attitude and potential are also important signals for us.

A client project that nobody takes ultimate responsibility for will fizzle out on its own. Whether a client project at Stretch ends on time, within budget and with a satisfied client depends largely on how you drive it.

What you do

You run multiple projects independently. From scope to delivery, the project is yours: timing, budget, who does what. You sit at the table with the client yourself when that is agreed, as the owner of the conversation. Before the work starts, you brief the teams who have to carry it out. That way nobody starts based on a guess. If you see a project drifting from its scope or a deadline at risk, you sound the alarm yourself, not only when the client has already noticed.

When several projects are running at the same time, you know at every moment which ball is where. You report to the Head of Project Managers to escalate what deserves escalation, not to check every step. You are not on your own: you can always turn to the Head of Project Managers and the other PMs in the team.

You will feel at home here if

... you have three to seven years of experience, preferably in a job where you had to run multiple projects at the same time. You create a schedule before anyone asks for it and you see a deadline coming before it becomes a problem. If you are unsure, you simply ask instead of guessing. You feel just as comfortable in a client conversation as in an internal briefing. Dutch and English are both your working languages.

You will struggle here if

... you expect a ready-made process that never changes, or if you would rather run one project thoroughly than follow up on several at once. If you wait for someone to tell you it is too late instead of seeing it coming yourself. Or if you see this as a stepping stone in administration instead of real ownership of client projects.

What you get out of it

A salary that we are open about during the process, on a permanent, full-time contract. A company car is included, with a fuel card or mobility budget. On top of that, you get meal vouchers and a net allowance. The culture is entrepreneurial and direct: you get responsibility quickly. If something doesn't work, you hear about it quickly, just as you are free to say what you notice yourself. You work in a young team, average age around 28, where your input counts from day one. You work directly with the Head of Project Managers and the other Project Managers, and with strategists, marketers and designers on the same projects. Fixed-price projects with a clear scope and real ownership over what is delivered. Hybrid working, office in Antwerp. A growth path tailored to your ambitions. Knowledge sharing and time for your own development are built into the agenda.
